Alessia Cara, Def Jams hottest new artist, rocked Manhattan's Webster Hall in her first tour of the United States. Alessia is selling out venue after venue, packed with screaming fans. The 19 year old Canadian singer speaks to the millennials with lyrics dealing with the everyday teen issues. Everyone waited eagerly for her number one song "Here," which came at the very end, leaving the crowd buzzing on the way out. The whole evening was topped off with a post concert gathering where Ms. Cara, record company execs, and other guests had a chance to celebrate her success of the song "Here" going double platinum.
Montreal's synthpop group Young Galaxy takes their newest LP, "Falsework" on the road to New Yorks Le Poisson Rouge. Accompanied by Noy Markel and Julietta, Young Galaxy finished off the night with stunningly choreographed movements and crowd favorites from their new and old albums. From the start of the night crowd was ready to dance, and dance they did. The energy from the crowd flowed right into Catherine McCandless vocals.
